Emory’s thrives because of the support we receive from our community and we make a strong effort to give back through charitable contributions. Each year, in addition to making as many donations as we can throughout the year, we select one or two charities to support with the help of our staff and customers.

In the Winter of 2011, we sponsored a Baby & Toddler Essentials Drive for Housing Hope. Housing Hope is a local nonprofit that provides housing and supportive services to very low income families in Snohomish County. Between October and December we collected coats, clothing, toys, food, diapers, cash, and other essentials. Delivering the collected goods and money was a heartwarming experience—it’s a great feeling to help those in need. Stay tuned for details on our next fundraising event.

In December of 2012, we again committed to raising money for Housing Hope. Instead of the typical “Buy a $25 gift card, get a $5 gift card for yourself” type of promotion, we switched gears and got into the Christmas spirit of giving back and helping those in need. We split our staff into different teams and started a Gift Card Sales Competition. For every $50 in gift cards sold, we would donate $5 to Housing Hope. We are proud to say that on January 10, 2013 we presented Housing Hope with a check for $3,000

In November 2013, we hosted our First Annual “An Evening at Emory’s for ChildHope”, partnering with Housing Hope and Windermere. We helped raise over $35,000 for their ChildHope program, which is dedicated to helping homeless and low-income children achieve age appropriate development, pursue their potential and ultimately to thrive in school and community through four tailored programs. It was a very successful event that will continue annually.
